Watchmen

"Watchmen" coverOn one hand, it seems a no-brainer that one should consume the original material before the adaptation. On the other hand, I will probably love the graphic novel so much that the movie will just disappoint me no matter how good it is.

And even if I choose the first, uh, path, do I even have time to finish reading the whole thing?

Try reading Watchmen, especially if you liked other Allan Moore movie adaptations (which however, Allan Moore dislikes, since he says movies are different from comics, so he’s severed all connections to his film-adapted works) such as V for Vendetta and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Granted the comic book versions are better I think. I’m currently watching the Watchmen Motion Comic 🙂

Yeah, it’s too late for me to read it before I watch the movie. But I will definitely read the graphic novel within the next few weeks.

I’m actually glad that I DIDN’T read it before I saw the movie. The movie followed so closely to the graphic novel (or so I’ve heard) until the end, that I think I would’ve been bored if I’d have known how it was going to end.

You and I will never know, right? LOL. You enjoyed it, yes? I’ve seen it twice already. And I’m actually thinking of watching it a third time.

I DID enjoy it – violence, explosions, & the nekkid blue man – what’s not to like!!! Oh, and I think “Silk Spectre” is one of the coolest superhero chick names ever. I keep meaning to see if she ever got a spin off cause she is awesome.
