The future of health

You know, I realized recently that if the Catholic Church one day decides to stop oppressing women, it would have more time and energy to actually help people. In the U.S., the government does that job for them, as it is currently trying to make it legal for pharmacists to refuse to sell drugs that go against their, uh, personal beliefs, even if these drugs are perfectly legal to distribute and use. Which means that if your pharmacist believes that pregnancy is God’s rightful punishment for women who have sex, he or she may refuse to sell you birth control pills, even if you have a prescription for it.
